My love for photography started in my early teens watching my dad develop his B&W images in a makeshift home dark room.
This led to the purchase of a second hand cheap SLR film camera with a couple of lenses and we took photos together on walks and developed and printed the photos at home.
Failure at my A-levels led me to an evening class in photography to progress as a mature student and then there were brief forays into colour slide film. My current true love for photography was then fully rekindled when Gina, My wife, bought me a digital camera for my 40th and workshops with professional photographer Alan Ranger, who’s love for being outdoors and teaching photography, developed my style and excitement to take photographs. Further development and advancement of editing from professional photographer Justin Minns then got me to where I am now loving the early sunrises, woodland walks, coastal exploration and minimal editing.
Small pushes and encouragement from Gina also resulted in me submitting several photographs with some being chosen for publication in magazines. Please look through my images and hopefully enjoy them as much as I enjoy wandering outdoors in search of a new exciting image.
